Alex Pasqualine, 96, from San Marcos, California, peacefully passed away Monday, Jan. 8, 2024.
He was born Nov. 23, 1927, in Bellevue, to Dante and Teresa Pasqualini. He grew up in Sandusky and graduated from Sandusky High School. Alex served in U.S. Navy during World War II. Following the war, he married Dawn Marie Triplett on May 3, 1947, and they enjoyed 58 years of happy marriage. For 40 years, Alex worked as a foreman at General Motors. He was a dedicated father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who found joy in fishing, bowling, and traveling. Alex was an active member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and generously supported the MDA. His presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his children, David (Heidi), Dean (Kimberly), and Greg (Ellie); grandchildren, Deana Cobey, Justin Pasqualini, Leah Freshwater, Elaine Stewart, Brandon Dupler, Catherine Miller, and Christine Cordova; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Pasqualini, Kyler Pasqualini, Caden Pasqualini, Alexis Freshwater, Evelyn Freshwater, Henry Freshwater, Robert Stewart, Lydia Stewart, Eleanor Stewart, Sarah, Nicholas Cobey, Alexa Cobey, Tori Cordova, and Lauren Cordova; and siblings, Nick Pasqualini and Mary Spencer.
Alex was preceded in death by his wife, Dawn; daughter, Alexis Dupler; parents, Dante and Teresa; and siblings, Angie Patterson, Julius Pasqualini, and Carl Pasqualini.
A memorial service to celebrate Alex's life will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024, at Meadow Green Memorial Park, 2602 Bogart Rd.
