Alice Marie (Sadler) Smith, 87, of Columbia, Tennessee, and formerly of Sandusky, went home to be with her Savior Friday, October 10, 2025, following a lengthy illness.

Alice was born July 12, 1938, in Sciotoville, Ohio, to the late Ora and Flossie (Owens) Sadler.

Alice worked for many years in the dietary department at Firelands Regional Medical Center. After retirement, she enjoyed volunteering at the senior center and delivering meals to shut-ins through Erie County Meals on Wheels. Alice also loved animals and being outdoors. She loved flowers and enjoyed many hours working in her garden. She enjoyed traveling and was always ready for the next road trip and new adventure.

Alice is survived by her children, Patty Smith of Sandusky, Linda Ohlemacher of Columbia, Tennessee, Mary (John) Hicks of Shelby Township, Michigan, Harry Smith Jr. of Enid, Oklahoma, and Thomas (Lois) Smith of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild; sisters, Donna Pocock, Joyce Wolfe, and Martha Younce; and several nieces, nephews, friends, and church family she was blessed to know throughout her life.

In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Smith Sr.; sons-in-law, Rolland Smith and John Ohlemacher Jr.; sister, Nancy; and brothers, Hank, Jeff, and Roger.

Family and friends of Alice are invited to attend graveside services at 11 a.m. Monday, November 10, 2025, at Oakland Cemetery, 2917 Milan Road, Sandusky, OH 44870, with Alice's grandson, the Rev. John Hicks Jr., officiating. Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, is assisting family with arrangements.
