Andrew (Andy) Anthony, 85, of Brooksville, Florida, passed away Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022, surrounded by his loving family, after a short illness.

Andy was born Nov. 19, 1936, in Lorain, to the late Taft and Marie Anthony. Andy met the love of his life, Victoretta Jane (Vicky) and settled in Sandusky, where they raised two children. For the majority of Andy's life, he had a contracting/construction business and was well known and respected in the Sandusky community.

Andy and Vicky lived in Florida and Hawaii and loved to travel the world. Andy was a life-long devoted Christian and made it his mission to encourage and help others. He was well known for his "little pieces of paper" with words of encouragement that he gave to everyone he came in contact with. He was a huge support to local food banks including Victory Kitchen and Fathers Heart Food Pantry.

He is survived by his daughter, Chris (Gurney) Anthony; and three granddaughters, Amelia, Arianna, and Aubrey. Andy is also remembered by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Andy was preceded in death by his loving wife, Vicky; and his only son, Andy II.

A celebration of life is planned for Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 1 p.m. at Fathers Heart Family Church, 2211 Mills St., Sandusky, Ohio, 44870. Because he wanted his "going home" to be a celebration, in honor of Andy, who loved life and his hawaiian shirts, we are asking everyone to wear your best hawaiian, festive, or bright colored clothing.

His life touched so many and he will be greatly missed, but the knowing that he is with his Lord and Savior brings us great comfort.
