Anna Lavett Shartzer Whitston, 92, a resident of Sandusky and Providence Care Center, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 19. 2024.
She is survived by her daughters, Denise Shartzer and the Rev. Melissa Lewellen (Dr. Ric Lewellen); grandson, Nicholas (Courtney) Lewellen; great- grandchildren, Kaylee, Braxton, and Maddox Lewellen; great-great-granddaughter, Kalianna Lewellen; and many nieces and nephews.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Auburn and Augusta Rose; first husband, Thomas Lee Shartzer; second husband, Ned W. Whitston; grandson, Brent; brothers, Harry (Suzy) Rose, Delmar (Pat) Rose, Kenneth (Margaret) Rose, and Dallas Rose; and sisters, A. Aleen (Harman) Carden, Linda (Ronald) Robbins, and infant sister, Patricia.
Visitation for family and friends will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, 2024, and 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, 2024, until the time of Anna's funeral at 11 a.m., all at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky.

So sorry for your loss.
Sending thoughts and prayers to her family and friends. I worked with Lavette for several years at the telephone company. She was such an amazing lady.She will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry to learn of Lavett's passing. What a beautiful photo of her and just as I remember her. She was such a sweet lady. I worked with her and her sister as telephone operators at GTE in Norwalk. My sincere condolences to the family. May the following verse bring comfort during this difficult time. What must it be to step on shore and find it-HEAVEN;
To take hold of a hand and find it-GOD´S HAND;
To breathe new air and find it-CELESTIAL AIR;
To feel invigorated, and find it-IMMORTALITY;
To sail from the care and turmoil of earth
To one unbroken calm;
