Anne Elizabeth (Schumm) Scott, 74, of Middleburg Heights, passed away unexpectedly Friday, December 12, 2025. She was born in Sandusky, November 11, 1951, to Henry Frederick and Elizabeth Lucille (Rossman) Schumm.

Anne lived in Norwalk, and was a 1969 graduate of Norwalk Saint Paul High School. She received her first degree from Cuyahoga Community College and worked as a respiratory therapist in Akron and at Cleveland Clinic for about 20 years. She returned to Cuyahoga Community College and earned a second degree in paralegal studies. Following graduation, she worked for several law firms in Cleveland, specializing in medical cases.

In her spare time, she loved knitting and crocheting and often made coverlets for friends and church members.

Anne married Thomas Scott, and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her daughter, Melissa (Matt) Colmer of Chesapeake, Virginia, and three grandchildren, Audrey, Ewan, and Leyna; three brothers, Stephen (M.Ann), John, and Robert (Becca), all of Norwalk; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Anne selected cremation.

A celebration of life is being planned for early July at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Bagley Road, Middleburg Heights.
