Arthur S. Fortuna, 72, of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon, April 9, 2025, at home.
Art was born January 22, 1953, in Sandusky to the late Edwin and Elizabeth (Gurtz) Fortuna.
Art retired from Wagner Quarry as a welder after many years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, sharing his wisdom, chatting it up with his friends, visiting new places, but most of all spending time with his family and friends.
Art is survived by his three daughters, Melissa Fortuna of Huron, Jessica Fortuna of Huron, and Laurel Wlodarsky of Toledo; son, Mikal Wlodarsky of Milan. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Damien, Devin, Isaiah, and Xavier; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A celebration of Art's life will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. In honor of Art's love for the outdoors and passion for hunting, the family invites everyone attending calling hours to wear hunting gear or camo clothing. He spent some of his happiest days in the woods, and dressing in this way will be a special tribute to his memory and the life he lived so fully.

So many great memories. I took my hunting license test because Darrel wanted to hunt with Art. Learned to gig frogs and smoke fish. Best fish ever. He was a great Dad and grandpa. Lost touch over the years. Going to miss you.
