Barbara Ann (LeValley) Kessler

Barbara (LeValley) Kessler, 82, residing in Castalia, passed away Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022 at Providence Care Center after a brief illness.

Barbara was born May 6, 1940, in Sandusky, to the late Robert and Helen (Curtis) LeValley.

Barbara retired as a nurse from the former Providence Hospital in 2002 after 40 years of service. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. Barbara was the co-owner of "Gatherings" in Milan for 11 years. She volunteered at Encore Shop and delivered Meal on Wheels for several years. She enjoyed going to estate sales and garage sales searching for treasures. Barbara liked to travel, going on several cruises and more recently one day trips to Frankenmuth and Amish Country.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 56 years, Thomas Kessler, whom she married Jan. 8, 1966; sons, Thom Kessler of Colorado and Jeffrey (Jennifer) Kessler of Illinois; grandchildren, Kayla, TJ, Kyle, Julia, and Jacobee; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her brother, Robert LeValley.

Private graveside services will be conducted at Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky. Deacon Jeff Claar will officiate. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory assisted family with arrangements.

I am so sorry for you loss. Mrs Kessler always had a smile and kind words for everyone. She was truly a gem of a nurse at Providence. She will be missed. May she Rest In Peace with our Lord.
