Barbara Patterson Obituary

Barbara Ann Patterson

Jul 4, 1930 - Mar 25, 2025

Sandusky

Barbara Ann Patterson, 94, passed away peacefully at The Meadows at Osborn Park in Huron Tuesday, March 25, 2025. She lived a long, healthy, and amazing life!

She was a "firecracker baby" born July 4, 1930, in Morrow County, Ohio, to the late Cover and Leah (Lantz) Stillwell. Barbara was the youngest of four children and grew up on a farm. She graduated from Fredericktown High School in 1948, where she was a cheerleader.

Barbara married her sweetheart, Dale E. Patterson Jr. October 17, 1953. They moved from Mansfield to Sandusky in 1965, where they raised their two daughters. She enjoyed flying with her husband, boating on Lake Erie and spending time with her family. Barbara and Dale took many fun vacations with family and friends.

Barbara was always willing to help friends, volunteer for great causes, and host family get-togethers. She was an active member of her church, serving on various committees over the years.

Barbara loved to watch college/professional football and basketball. She was a huge Ohio State fan and was so excited when they won their most recent National Championship! The Ohio State University Marching Band was most definitely one of her favorites. She saw the band several times when they had concerts in Sandusky. She also liked cheering on the Cleveland Cavaliers and Cincinnati Bengals.

Barbara is survived by her daughters, Sara Morgan, Manalapan, Florida, and Susan (Jeff) Davis, Sandusky; three grandchildren, Katherine (Tyler) Deaton, J. Kevin (Carly) Morgan, and Elizabeth Morgan; and three great-grandchildren whom she adored, Adeline, Charles James (CJ) and Evelyn. She was affectionately known as GiGi.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale; brothers, Albert Stillwell and Robert Stillwell; and sister, Marilyn Deminski.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Meadows at Osborn Park and The Willows at Bellevue for their compassionate care. We also appreciated the extra help from A-Team Nursing LLC, Home Instead, and the staff at Parkvue while Barbara was in Independent Living.

A Celebration of Life Service will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2025, at St. Stephen U.C.C. Pastor Jerald A. Fenske will officiate. There will be a family inurnment at a later date at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
