On Aug. 16, 2022, an angel was dispatched by God to bring Mother Barbara Marie Tiller to eternal rest with Him.
Mother Barbara Marie Tiller was born Sept. 5, 1937, Sandusky, to the late John and Eudora Campbell. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at a young age, uniting with The Second Baptist Church, Sandusky. She later united with Agape Love Ministries under the Leadership of Bishop Clifton Jones where she served for over 20 years. She was a member of Pastor's Aide Committee, Anniversary Committee, and Women's Department.
Mother Tiller was a student of the Bible, an intercessor prayer warrior, and was gifted in the ministry of healing. Mother Tiller loved the youth and was an honorary member of the youth department. She loved to read, and often set the standard for reading something in its entirety in record time. She was also a member of Women In The Lord Ministries of Cleveland, Ohio, under the leadership of Apostle Celestia Hood Gibson.
Mother Tiller attended Sandusky High School and marched in band, playing the trumpet. She graduated at the top of her class in 1955. She retired from Ohio Bell Telephone Company and Sears Department Store. Mother Tiller was an avid seamstress, one of the best in the business, sewing gowns, clothing, costumes, robes, lap scarf's, and altered men's suits for many friends and family.
Mother Barbara Marie Tiller leaves precious memories for her daughters, Gloria Jean Tiller of Sandusky and Elder Marlisa Marie Tiller-Young of Columbus, Ohio; four grandchildren, Anthony (Brianna) Jones and Caleb (Alexis) Young, both of Sandusky, and Porscha (Carlos) Jones and Faith (Terrance) Churchwell, both of Columbus, Ohio; 14 great-grandchildren, Jah'mir Jones, Eric Dallas, Akiyla Jones, De'von Dallas, Javin Churchwell, Parker Jones, Josiah Dallas, Carter Young, OakLynn Jones, Cannon Young, Lovely Churchwell, Caleb Young Jr., Titan Churchwell, and Truly Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends, as well as her best friend, Evangelist Gail M. Tate, Church Mother Emma Guevara, and many others.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Grady Tiller; parents, John
(Booker) and Eudora (Roberts) Campbell; sister, Shirley Clincscales; sister and brother in love, Donna Jean (Johnny) Turner; and brother, John (Book-Sonny) Campbell Jr.
Friends may call 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022, until the time of the funeral at 12 p.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
