Shirley Brown Obituary

Shirley Ann Eisenhauer Brown

Dec 12, 1960 - Mar 31, 2026

Sandusky

Shirley Ann Eisenhauer Brown, 65, of Sandusky, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Stein Hospice following a courageous, brief battle with Stage 4 Lung Cancer.

Shirley was born December 12, 1960, at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina. She grew up in Fostoria but later found her forever home in Sandusky at age 16, when she came to a Group Home. She was the epitome of what rehabilitation and transformation were! At 18, the Group Home offered her a job. That was the beginning of her 30-year career with the Erie County Juvenile Justice System, better known to most as the D.H. Over the years, she was promoted to the Diversion Program, then to a C.O., and eventually became Miss Ann from House Arrest.

Shirley loved HELPING people. The amount of love, knowledge, wisdom, and mothering she's given to the community is commendable. Always quick to help people in need or crisis. Very Charitable. Having empathy for others is what she was big on. You never know someone's situation. The other was ALWAYS try and look at the glass half full. Even in retirement, she found herself working at the Renaissance House caring for God's Special people. She loved Kimmy, John, George, and Allyson, and they loved her. She loved and cared for them as people. It was just in her.

Shirley leaves to cherish her memory her obsessions Alonda and Adryaan; her mother, Shirley Johnson; her nephew she helped raise, DeVille (Tiesha) Moore, and nephew, Teveyon Eisenhauer; her bonus daughter, Shina (Marcus) Clarke, bonus son, Al Kirksey, and bonus daughter, Rhonda McCann; her sister, Peggy (Ike) Frierson, and brothers in love, Paul Brown and Roger Moore; cousin Delinda Ramsey, special niece Dainelle Kirkwood, Godchildren Alexis Mar'Ann Hicks, De'Yon Swain, and Kaeshawn Turner; her road dogs, Tonya Turner and Deborah Robinson. They were there to the end, close friends Nyla Yarbrough, Lucie Payne, Brenda Mansor, and Lisa Nimrichter; and two of her beloved kids, she's been there and loved over all these years, Louwann Light and Kari Gorman; her grandchildren, Shawna, Shaniya, Steviona, Adryaan, Marcia, and Marcus V.; and a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, and one great-great nephew, Khalil.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Percy AQ Brown; her father, Eldred Eisenhauer; her bonus mom, Mildred Mickles; and her bonus dad, John. D. Johnson; her brother David (Connie) Eisenhauer; brothers in love, John "JB" Brown, James "Bull" Brown, Calvin "Flip" Brown, Freddie Brown, Rex Brown, and Tommie Brown; sisters in love, Janice "Bean" Brown, Bertha "Diane" Brown, Darlene "Doll" Brown, and Minnie "Bessie" Knight; nephew Tyrell Jones, niece Mary Celeste "Starr" Christoff, and her beloved Prince.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service at noon Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home, 1814 Milan Road, Sandusky. Burial will take place at Oakland Cemetery. Celebration of Life will be at 5 p.m. at UAW Local 1216 Union Hall, 3211 Bardshar Road, Sandusky, Ohio 44870. Online condolences made at www.brownrobinsonfuneralhome.com
