Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Sept. 23, 1928, in Ft.
Lauderdale, Florida, the daughter of the late William Yent and Lucella (Crim) Baginski. Betty married Eugen Heinrich on June 1, 1950, and they spent 48 wonderful years together. They lived in Sandusky prior to relocating to
Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1963 where she was the co-owner of Kraft & Heinrich Tux Shop & Custom Tailor. Betty sang in the philharmonic and Damenchor choir. She was a member of Fort Wayne Maennerchor and Scottish Heritage Society, as well as being a member of Holy Cross Lutheran where she sang in the Holy Cross Senior Choir.
Betty is survived by two daughters, Lisa Cline and her husband, Bob, of
Kingston, Tennessee, and Laura Englert, and her husband, Mark, of
Fort Wayne, Indiana; son, Kurt Heinrich and his wife, Cheryl, of
Littleton, Colorado; stepson, Paul Alexander of Harriman, Tennessee; grandson, Kurt Englert, and his wife, Sarah, of
Fort Wayne, Indiana; grandson, Colin Englert and his wife, Delaney, of
Whitestown, Indiana; granddaughter, Lindsay Englert of Markle, Indiana; grandson, Trenton Cline and his wife, Cortney, of
Fort Wayne, Indiana; grandson, Bryce Cline and his wife, Leslie, of
Fort Wayne, Indiana; grandson, Cameron Cline and his fiancé Gabrielle, of
Fort Wayne, Indiana; granddaughter, Erica Willis and her husband, Casey, of
Lexington, Kentucky; granddaughter, Jessica Watson and her husband, Adam, of
Northport, Alabama; granddaughter, Sarah Goodsell and her husband, Rusty, of Brentwood, Tennessee; granddaughter, Elyse Heinrich of
Chalfont, Pennsylvania; granddaughter, Katie O'Connor of
Los Angeles, California; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucella Baginski; father, William Yent; husband, Eugen Heinrich; granddaughter, Stephanie Alexander; daughter-in-law, Deb Alexander; and God son, Robert Miller.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2023, at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes, Lakeside Park, 1140 Lake Avenue,
Fort Wayne, Indiana, 46805. Betty's funeral will be 12 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Entombment will immediately follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
