Betty Lou (Gysan) Rey, 83, residing in Sandusky, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025, at The Meadows at Osborn Park after a brief illness.

Betty was born March 9, 1942, in Sandusky to the late Earl and Marjorie (Holzhauer) Gysan.

Betty retired from Prudential Insurance working as a Administrative Assistant and in retirement she worked for Herman's Furniture. She enjoyed Amish Country, gardening and spending time with her family and friends.

Betty is survived by her two brothers, Earl (Amy) Gysan of Jacksonville, Florida, and Donald (Mary Jo) Gysan of Sandusky; three nieces; one nephew; great-nieces; great-nephews; and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by husband, Bernard Moran Rey in 2021.

A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, with Pastor Michael Conklin presiding.

Those wishing to contribute to Betty's memory may do so to one's favorite charity.
