Bruce Gordon James Jr., 80, of Huron, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022, at his son's home following a brief illness.

Bruce was born Oct. 20, 1941, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to the late Bruce Gordon and Doris Winnona (Cartwright) James Sr.

Bruce retired from Ford Motor Company in 2000 after 41 years of service. He was a member of The Chapel. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his family, and traveling. He loved spending the winters in Florida.

Bruce is survived by his daughter, Jessica (Raymond) Enderle of Huron; son, Jeff (Latonya) James of Milan; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Connie (Tom) Hartle of Vermilion; brothers, Steve James of Lorain and Tony James of the Philippines; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, the love of his life, Nancy L. (Craft) James on Sept. 17, 2007; sister, Nona James Smith; and brothers, David and Franklin James.

Friends may call at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022, until the time of Bruce's funeral at 2:30 p.m. at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Pastor Ed Young will officiate. Private burial will be at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
