Carol A. "Kay" (Baaske) Bickley, 88, of Sandusky, met her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in person Monday, Aug. 7, 2023.
She was born Jan. 15, 1935, in Sandusky. Carol was a bus driver for Perkins Schools for over 30 years. She was a member of Sandusky Community Church of the Nazarene where she sang soprano in the choir and was a prayer warrior. She leaves a legacy of loving God and others before herself.
She is survived by four sons, James (Vicki) Bickley Jr. and Matthew (Linda) Bickley, both of Sandusky, Andrew Bickley of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Philip Bickley of Everett, Washington; daughter, Elizabeth (Pastor Keith) Martinez of Sunbury; 16 grandchildren, James (Eva) Bickley III, Lisa (Paul) Danos, Laura Fedele, Heidi (Brad) Gangel, Hannah (Isaac) Pajo-Bickley, Daniel Bickley, Justin Bickley, Tobiah Bickley, Amaris Bickley, Penuel (Daniel) Abbas, Sascha (Christopher) Facey, Michael (Amanda) Bickley, Philip Bickley Jr., Nathaniel (Lacie) Bickley, Keith Martinez II, and Jenna Martinez; 17 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy (Baaske) Hibbard of Shinrock, Ohio; and two brothers, Thomas (Joanne) Baaske of Sandusky and Ronald (Carol) Baaske of Vermilion.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, James Bickley; and parents, Alvin "Charlie" and Thelma (Easton) Baaske.
Visitation for friends will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, 2023, and 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 14, 2023, until the time of Kay's service at 11 a.m. at Sandusky Community Church of the Nazarene, 1617 Milan Road, Sandusky. The Rev. David P. Flack will officiate. Burial will be at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
Memorial contributions may be made to Jewish Voice Ministries International, P.O. Box 31998, Phoenix, Arizona, 85046-1998.
