Charles D. Mullens Sr., 77, of Port Clinton, passed away Monday, January 5, 2026, at Mercy Health - St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo. He was born February 11, 1948, in Ironton, the son of Harry Lee and Alberta (Armstrong) Mullens Sr. He married Sandra M. Christiansen, October 7, 1972. Charles was a United States Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He was awarded two Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star for his brave service to his country. He was a member of Port Clinton V.F.W. After returning home from the Vietnam War, he worked for Uniroyal as a supervisor, retiring in 2006.

He enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids, and when he was younger, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating.

Surviving are his wife, Sandra; sons, Charles (Lisa) Mullens Jr. of Williamston, Michigan, and James (Tiffany) Mullens of Port Clinton; grandchildren, Aiden Mullens, Jagger Mullens, Jayda Mullens, and Jameson Mullens; siblings, Darlene Fahey of Port Clinton and Herbert (Sharon) Mullens of Port Clinton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harry Lee Mullens Jr.; and infant brother, Roger Mullens.

Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd. Lakeside-Marblehead. Additional visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday, January 9, 2026, at the funeral home, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. with Pastor Harry Hunt officiating. Interment will follow at Sackett Cemetery, Danbury Township.
