I met Chuck in third grade. We´ve been friends ever since. He´s just always been there. Chuck was a great dude. Those who knew him knew he was just wild outspoken goofball with a big heart. He cared about his people. When I go sick, he came out to visit and make sure I was okay, but my family as well. I´m know he had some struggles and health issues, but I genuinely loved that dude. Crazy, outspoken, and silly,,, but caring and kind as well. That´s what I´ll remember. He also raised some really good boys. They will carry on his legacy for sure.Rest in peace Chuck-baby! You will be missed...

Wanted to add a correction on the dates when I met Chuck, it was supposed to read that we met in the late 80s not 90s. Thinking of his family during this difficult time and sending love and prayers for peaceful hearts. Found this pic the other day, it's not the best because Chuck is in the very back, but this was at my HS graduation party, a couple of his Airforce friends are in the front row. Silly memory to add as well, since he was so tall my mom would love when he came over because he would clean the top of the fridge lol.

I am deeply sorry with the passing of Chuck. To his family: I can only imagine how much humor and love he brought to you. He sent me tons of jokes and was so very sweet and always made me laugh. Since he had insomnia and I was in CA he would message me late at night knowing I´d still be awake. When I think of comedy I will think of Chuck and I will smile.
I know he was in a lot of pain with migraines often. I also know he was close to his family and his boys were such an important part of his life and he was very proud.
I will miss my talks. He had a huge heart and will be missed greatly. I´m sending my condolences to all who knew him.

I am sorry to hear of Chuck Schrader's passing. I recall his regular presence in my classroom during the time that his sons, Alex and Brady, were my kindergarten students. One special memory was during our Kindergarten Science Fair, when he helped his son demonstrate his "volcanic eruption", which turned out to be the highlight of the day. Alex, Brady, and Sandy, may God bring you peace, comfort, and strength as you live with the loss, and fond memories of your dad/son. You are all in my prayers.--Mrs. Cheryl Talley-Sharp

I served in the Air Force with Chuck from 1989 through 1992. He and I were both C-141 crew chiefs and he and I quickly became friends, even though our vast differences! He from OH and me from CA. Yet we bonded in our youthful ignorance and got along well. He always raved about Sandusky OH, claiming it was the best place to live in Ohio. I sadly never visited Chuck, even though my job took me to Columbus a few times, I would call him and he would beg me to drive up and hang out. I'm upset that I never took him up on the invite. My mom wanted Chucks family to know that her and my dad received annual Christmas calls from Chuck, and they really appreciated it. I took Chuck with me to my home for Christmas one year and he bonded with my parents. Please accept our sincere condolences . Miss you brother...

It doesn´t even seem real that Chuck has passed. When you grow up with your friends and never lose contact it seems like your back in your high school years out on summer vacation. That´s a testament to true friendship. Where you can pick up at anytime and it´s like no time has passed regardless of any disagreements. Chuck was an intense, outrageous, loud, hard working and loyal friend in which I am a better man to have such a friend in my life.
Be at peace my brother. We will miss you!

I met Chuck back in the late 90s, he was stationed at Norton Air Force Base in San Bernardino, CA. I was still in high school, my parents let us date since my dad was retired military and he liked Chuck and knew he was respectful of my age. There was a group of the air force guys that all hung out together, my sister and my high school best friend as well. I lost touch for years but got them FB came along. It was nice being in touch again, was sad to have learned of his brain injury, and now sad to hear of his passing. He was a good guy and liked to make people laugh, that is how I will always remember him. My condolences to his family and friends. Dana Fabbri

I'll always remember your deep love and loyalty to and for your family as well as your friends, your compassion and empathy towards others, your laugh, that wild sense of humor and the grace in how you persevered thru all life threw your way. You were an amazing son, father and grandfather and were loved by many, so much more than you knew. Until we meet again......and we will.
