Charles O. Sheefel, 93, of Vermilion, passed away Monday, Sept. 12, 2022, at Ames Family Hospice, Westlake, after a brief illness.
He was born July 20, 1929, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to the late Charles V. and Ruth H. (Jackson) Sheefel.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lila (Hoftetter) Sheefel; son, Charles (Gina) Sheefel; stepchildren, Amanda (David) Welliver and Chelsea (Matt) Hawley; six grandchildren; sister, Dr. Darlene (John) Loveday; and other loving relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Sheefel; and sisters, JoAnn and Nancy.
Private burial will take place at Wakeman Cemetery. Toft Funeral Home & Crematory is handling arrangements. Condolences may be shared online by visiting toftfuneralhome.com.
