Cheryl Ann (Bickley) Caniff

Cheryl passed away at the age of 81, Monday, December 1, 2025, at Stein Hospice in Sandusky, after a lengthy illness.

She was the daughter of Warren and Jane (Kerber) Bickley of Huron.

After graduating from Huron High School, she graduated from Cleveland Metropolitan Hospital Radiology Technician program. She worked at several hospitals as a radiology technician, including Providence Hospital in Sandusky and Highland Park Hospital in Illinois.

She then moved to Newport, Rhode Island, where she was a stay-at-home mother to her two children, Joshua and Jessica Caniff.

After returning to the area, she worked in the automotive industry for 25 years as a quality control technician at Lear Corporation.

She loved to dance and, as a young girl, mastered tap dancing. She loved going to concerts and listening to her favorite artists, Rod Stewart, Andrea Bocelli, and Il Divo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Jane and her beloved son, Joshua.

She is survived by her cherished daughter, Jessica, and her two grandchildren, Jack and Kate of Clyde; sister, Susan Gilliam of Dublin, Ohio; brother, Dennis (Nancy) Bickley of Huron; and three generations of nieces and nephews.

There will be no public services.

Expressions of condolence may be made to Humane Society of Erie County or Stein Hospice.

So sorry for the loss of your mom. I worked with her 20+ years at IAC and my husband worked with Josh at North Central EMS . My prayers and thoughts are with your family. Dawn and Alan Gast.

I had the pleasure of working with Cheryl during the O´Sullivan / Automotive Industries and Lear days in Huron. She was the one of the nicest people to see and work with every day. May God Rest her Soul.
