Claire (Budweg) Reindl, 93, of Wakeman, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2024, at her home from natural causes.
She was born Sept. 8, 1930, in Berea.
Claire graduated from Birmingham High School in 1948. She was a freelance photographer for many years for Chronicle Telegram and several municipalities. She was a member of National Press Photographers Assoc. and Ohio News Photographers Assoc. In her spare time, she enjoyed taking pictures, going to insulator shows, flea markets, and garage sales, and spending time with her sister at casinos. Her points of pride, besides her family, were acquiring her pilots license and several parachute jumps.
Claire is survived by her daughter, Linda Glendenning; sons, Gary (Lesley) Glendenning and Dale (Kathy) Glendenning; sisters, Barbara Treaster and Wilma Eucker; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Gene Reindl; mother, Ruth Budweg-McPherson; brother, Ralph Budweg; and sister, Alice Haynes, who prepared the way to Heaven by passing the same day, earlier in the morning.
Visitation for friends will be 7-9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19, 2024, and 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2024, until the time of Claire's services at 12 p.m., all at Toft Funeral Home, Wakeman Chapel, 16 Cooper Street, Wakeman. Burial will follow at Birmingham Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her husband, Gene.
