Claudia A. Wallace, 82, residing in Sandusky, passed away Tuesday morning, Jan. 16, 2024, at Stein Hospice Care Center after a brief illness.

Claudia was born June 25, 1941, in Cleveland, to Claude S. and Bellverna (Byington) Hegerling.

Claudia was a member of First Faith Community Church, where she received all her sacraments, and member of 59er's Huron card club. Claudia enjoyed movies, reading, cross stitching, line dancing, ballroom dancing, showing the mustang at National MCA shows, camping, camp fires and dachshunds, attending family functions, and her great-niece and great-nephew's events.

Claudia is survived by her daughter, Martha Ann (Wallace) Hendrock of Sandusky; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Porter Marion Wallace in 2014; and sister, Jane Long in 2014.

Claudia's graveside services will be private at Meadow Green Memorial Park. Pastor Wally Gilbert will officiate. A celebration of life for family and friends will be determined at a later date.

Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, Sandusky, is assisting family with arrangements.
