Clayton Robert Hemmer, 78, residing in Sandusky, passed away early Tuesday morning, February 4, 2025 at home.
Clayton was born December 1, 1946, in Sandusky to the late Clayton Robert and Mabel Garnett (Stuber) Hemmer Sr.
Clayton attended Margaretta High School. He was a truck driver for Homberger trucking for 30 years, he was the owner of Security Alarm Systems for 35 years, Sandusky Police Officer for 35 years. He married his late wife, Sandra (Pappas) Hemmer September 14, 1974. Clayton was a member of Sandusky Lodge of Elks No. 285. He enjoyed yard work and was very meticulous about his lawn.
Clayton is survived by his neighbor, Kathy (Ron) Polley of Sandusky; and other relatives.
In addition to his parents; Clayton is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra S. Hemmer, in 2012.
Private inurnment will take place at Oakland Cemetery in Sandusky. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory will be assisting with arrangements.
