Cory A. Stoner, 64, of New London, died Monday, Dec. 5, 2022, at his home. His death was sudden and unexpected.

Cory was born Jan. 29, 1958, in Sandusky. He was a man of faith who loved his savior, his family, and serving others. He was a self-employed carpenter and enjoyed tinkering, singing, reading, debating with his kids, and cooking. What he cherished most was laughing and spending time with his family. He attended New London Alliance Church.

Cory is survived by his wife of 42 years, Denise (Dunfee) Stoner; five children, Amber Stoner, Jessica (Krzysztof) Jurczuk, Alana (Joshua) Woodworth, Jeremiah Stoner, and Jarod Stoner; six grandchildren, Leksi, Cameron, Layne, Liam, Marli, and Aleks; siblings, Edward (Mary) Stoner, Londa (Dave) Barman, Michelle Schimp, and Brian (Sunni) Stoner; and nine nieces and nephews.

Cory was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy (Dake) Stoner; stepfather, Ernest Russell Stoner; and infant children, Aerin, Jordan, and Alex.

A celebration of life service will be at a later date. The staff of Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main Street, New London, assisted family with arrangements and online condolences may be made at www.eastmanfuneralhome.com.
