Daniel L. Fredrick, 79, of Castalia, passed away Thursday morning, April 23, 2026, at Admiral's Pointe, Huron.

He was born January 29, 1947, in Vincennes, Indiana, and graduated from Margaretta High School in 1965. After high school, Daniel proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served as a door gunner and maintenance/electrician on the "Huey" helicopters during the Vietnam War. After his service, Daniel worked as an electrician for his whole life, retiring from Ford Motor Company. He also worked for Team Ray, Bellevue, after retirement. Daniel was a member of Holy Angel's Catholic Church, Sandusky, Sandusky Elks, and he enjoyed golfing and building golf clubs in his shop.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Janice (Bash) Fredrick; son, Tim (Rana) Fredrick; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jack (Joyce) Fredrick and Rick Fredrick; sister-in-law MaryAlice Fredrick; brother-in-law Don Bunting; late son's fiancé, Jennifer Klepper Kuns; and several nieces and nephews.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Dorothy (Donovan) Fredrick; son, Randy Fredrick; sister, Bev Bunting; and brother, Larry Fredrick.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. until time of services at 5 p.m. Monday, April 27, 2026, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia.
