Danny Aaron Obituary

Danny Aaron Sr.

Jul 25, 1945 - Jul 30, 2024

Sandusky

Danny Aaron Sr., 79, of Sandusky, passed away and entered God's heavenly kingdom Tuesday, July 30, 2024.

He was born July 25, 1945, in Waynesboro, Mississippi, where he spent his childhood years until relocating with the family to Sandusky. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church. He served as a Trustee, sang in the Male Chorus, and was a church bus driver. He loved listening to his massive blues collection, was an avid gardener, an immaculate detailer of his personal vehicles, and was an unlicensed barber to multiple generations of family members and friends. Most importantly, he loved to talk, sometimes excessively, and often shared old stories about his life and high school athletic prowess, repeatedly told and laughed at his same jokes, and often shared embellishments of his feats he affectionately referred to as "telling lies." Danny graduated from Perkins High School in 1964 and upon graduation, briefly served in U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. Following the Army, he attended barber college temporarily before returning to Sandusky where he ultimately landed a job at General Motors (New Departure-Hyatt). He worked in production then as a Production Foreman and Maintenance Supervisor for over 30 years. Upon retirement, Danny obtained a CDL and drove for Sandusky Transit for over 10 years. As an avid talker, he thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the daily passengers. He was also a Free and Accepted Mason.

He was united in holy matrimony to Brunell R. Aaron and celebrated 56 years of marriage. They were blessed with three sons, Troy (Lisa) Aaron Sr. of Cleveland, Danny (Dr. Shanita) Aaron Jr. of Royersford, Pennsylvania, and Damon Aaron of Sandusky. He is survived by his sister, Alice Ashburn; brothers, George Evans, Ed (Willie) Aaron, Levon Nicholson, and Ronnie Aaron; grandchildren, Elder Jasmine (Chris) Pope, Morgan Aaron, Dashun Ferrell, D'hani Aaron, and Demi Aaron; great-granddaughters, Aaralynn Lang, Nadia Pope, and Caedence Aaron-Pope; great-grandson, Hendrix Ferrell-Jones; nieces, all of whom he called "special"; nephews, including his daily phone calls with special nephew, Dennis Aaron; and a host of relatives and friends. He leaves to cherish his memory special friends, Eli Hunley, Doug Graves, and Earl Brown.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Dave Aaron Sr. and Mary Lee Aaron; aunt, Annie Mae Nicholson, who raised him while in Mississippi; brothers, Eulas (Lena) Aaron, Claude (Bertha Clara) Aaron Jr., C.B. Aaron, and James "Boo Lock" (Mattie) Aaron; sister, Susietta (Eugene) Williams; grandsons, Troy Aaron Jr. and Daniel Aaron; nephew, Aaron Richardson; and special friends, L.B. McGill, Homer McGill, Al Cox, and J.D. Richey.

Visitation for family and guests will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, 2024, at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, 1920 Eddy Henry Way, Sandusky. Danny's funeral will be 12 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5, 2024, at the church. Elder Jasmine Pope will officiate and Pastor Curtis L. Johnson Jr. will eulogize. Burial with military honors by Army Honor Guard will follow at Perkins Cemetery.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dot Aaron, Alexis Young and PaviElle Williams of Companion Care, Kamari Kubitz, and Tanisha Conway.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Danny's name to the church.

To Danny's precious family, my sincere prayers are being prayed continuously for all of you. He was so special to me as well as our family (the Achie Matthews family). I told him that he was like a big brother to and if was one thing l didn't need, was another brother (we had a good laugh about that). He was always an "excellent example" to me. The way he carried himself demanded "RESPECT!" I will miss you and certainly on your birthday... Rest well from your labor my friend

Danny was one of the older guys I looked up when we were growing up together in Searsville. He was a man of many talents, even back then. He used to cut my hair in those early days, when he was still a teenager himself. I always looked forward to getting a haircut, because he always had something funny to say. Later on, we worked together at New Departure, where he was well respected, and held in the highest regard by everyone who new him. On this sad occasion, I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to the entire Aaron family. Danny was one of the ones, in every sense of the word, and someone we all can be proud of.
