Darlene K. (Reed) Lochotzki, 71, of Huron, passed away Friday, Oct. 7, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born Dec. 31, 1950, in Fremont, Ohio, and attended Fremont Ross High School. Darlene was a hardworking and devoted stay at home mom until her children were grown. At that time, she went to work at Sears in the Sandusky Mall during the late 1980s and early 1990s. She then worked for 12 years at Huron McDonald's, retiring in 2015.
Darlene loved to collect glass, visit casinos, and spend time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Lawrence J. "Larry" Lochotzki, whom she married May 22, 1971 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sandusky; son, John R. Lochotzki of Huron; daughter, Juliane M. (Gregory) Finton of Huron; grandson, Brandon J. Lochotzki of Huron; and a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and other relatives, including a special cousin, Roger (Teresa) Shetzer.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lori A. Lochotzki in Dec., 1972; mother, Betty A. Holmer; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jerome and Rita Lochotzki; brother, Russell Holmer; sister, Suzie Holmer; and grandparents, Merl and Lila Reed and Glen and Luella Vincent.
Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022, at St. Peter Catholic Church Gathering Space, 430 Main Street, Huron. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, 2022, at St. Peter Catholic Church with Father Gerald Ceranowski officiating. Burial will be at Scott Cemetery, Huron Township.
Darlene's family would like to give a special thank you to Heather Klaehn, RN with Stein Hospice Service for the special care she gave to Darlene.
Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, has been entrusted with arrangements.

Dear Larry, Julie and John,
Darlene was a force to behold and may you find peace as you make your way forward.
She took care of my sons, Bill and Bob Griffin when they were children and you lived on Wilbor Ave. We always said hello over the years and I enjoyed hearing that Julie and John were thriving.
I never passed your homes without thinking of her and will continue to do so.
May God bless your family and the angels will keep her in theirs.
