David A. Wheeler, 61, residing in Sandusky, passed away Friday, March 28, 2025, at home after a brief illness.

David was born February 13, 1964, in Tiffin to the late James Edward and Alberta Mae (Thompson) Wheeler.

David graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School and went to Terra Tech for HVAC. He was a veteran of the Untited States Air Force. He was employed at Cedar Point for six years as a HVAC technician until he retired in July of 2024. David was a member of UA Local 42 Plumbers Steamfitters HVACR Techs & Marine Pipe Fitters. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and going to casinos. He never met a stranger.

David is survived by his son, Michael (Deilyah) Wheeler; significant other, Marlene Sibert; grandchildren, Novaleigh Rose Wheeler and Evelynn Elaine Wheeler; sister, Linda (the late, James) Unger; brother, Ed (Linda) Wheeler and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, David was also preceded in death by his sister, Diana Wagner.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. until time of funeral service at 5 p.m. Wednesday April 2, 2025, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, with Minister Marcellus Ware and Randall Coleman presiding. Following the funeral service, all are welcome at American Legion in Sandusky.
