Devin C. Weatherspoon, 52, residing in Sandusky, passed away suddenly Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2022, at Firelands Regional Medical Center.
Devin was born Dec. 2, 1970, in Sandusky, to Cecil and Rose (Bishop) Weatherspoon Jr.
Devin graduated from Sandusky High School in 1989 and then attended Akron University. Devin was a member of Salvation Army Sandusky Corps. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing poker and the ponies. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Devin loved to cook and it brought joy to feed his family and friends, especially his famous homemade pizza.
Devin is survived by his life companion of more than 30 years, Davida Richards; daughter, Brittney Alexander of Sandusky; sons, Trevor Richard-Bains of Clyde and Jarren Weatherspoon of Sandusky; grandchildren, Devin and Dalayah Peters and Khaléa Bond; parents, Cecil and Rose; sister, Roshon (Anthony) Weatherspoon-Thomas of Sandusky; and nephew, Trenton Thomas.
Devin was preceded in death by his son, Devin Richards, in 2015.
Friends may call 9 a.m. Friday, Jan. 6, 2023, until the time of Devin's funeral at 11 a.m. at Porter Memorial Church C.M.E., 1722 3rd St., Sandusky. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
