Dolores "Dee" Grail Templeton was born June 21, 1929, at Lutheran Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio. She went to be with our Lord on Monday, Sept. 5, 2022, at Admiral's Pointe, Huron.
Dolores spent the majority of her life near Lake Erie shores. She graduated from Rocky River High School in 1947. She attended Wittenburg College and transferred to The Ohio State University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education. Dee was also a member of Alpha Xi Delta with her sister, Shirley (Grail) Hadlich. She met Alan James Templeton in college through Ohio State University Greek Life and they married in 1953. After graduating college, she worked in the Vermilion school system as an administrator for 25 years. After retiring, Alan and Dee moved to Huron in 1990. They were members of Christ Episcopal Church in Huron where Dee served on the Alter Guild. Dee and Alan were married over 57 years. Dee was an avid supporter of all animals as a member of The Humane Society and ASPCA. She especially loved her best friend, a West Highland Terrier named Caesar.
Dolores is survived by her two sons, Dr. Terence Grail Templeton and Noel James Templeton (Julie); nephew, Rex Hadlich (Maribel); and three grandchildren, the Rev. Sean Stuart Templeton (Leah), Mary Megan Alanna Templeton Alvarado (David), and Tyler Grail Templeton. She was blessed to meet her great-grandchildren, Bridget and Patrick Templeton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gustav and Hermine Grail; husband, Alan Templeton; sister, Shirley Magazin; and grandchildren, Theresa and Erin Templeton.
The family welcomes friends to attend her visitation at Christ Episcopal Church at 12 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022. Christian Burial and Eucharist will follow at 1 p.m. with internment.
