Donald J. Clemons, 89, Marblehead, joined the Lord Monday, December 15, 2025. He was surrounded by his loving wife of 68 years, Pat, and his four children.

Don was born March 27, 1936, in Tiffin, to Hopewell and Elmer Clemons. After graduating from Port Clinton High School, he attended Tiffin University and Ohio University. He met the love of his life, Pat Foerster, while enrolled at Ohio University, and the two were married April 12, 1957.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Hopewell and Elmer Clemons; his siblings, Paul Clemons, Lynn Clemons and his twin sister, Donna Clemons Swiergosz.

Don, or 'Big C' as he was affectionately known, was an entrepreneur, developer and charter captain. Big C enjoyed fishing, hunting, scuba diving, boating and travelling. He spent his entire life loving everything about Lake Erie.

He was married to his wife, Pat, for 68 years, and they enjoyed boating and fishing together. He loved his family and was very proud of all their achievements. Don is survived by his wife, Pat; sons, Don (Becky) Clemons of Port Clinton, Dean (Lyn) Clemons of Catawba Island, Chris (Debbie) Clemons of Marblehead; and daughter, Kim (Jeff) Grilliot of Catawba Island; his grandchildren, Chad Clemons, David (Marilee) Clemons, Collin (Amanda) Clemons, Lauren Clemons, Derek Ensign, Jarret (Holly) Ensign, Kelcey (Tyler) Beck, Karly (Jennifer) DeGroot, Kirk Grilliot (deceased), Katie (Nate) Sawyer, and Kris Grilliot; and his great-grandchildren, Lake, Sonny, Mary Alice, William, Kailee, Archer, Becket, Fallon, Alexander, James and Collina.

Don's entire family and his friends will miss his hilarious stories and his fun-loving approach to life. He is in heaven telling jokes right now!

Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 22, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 Barclay St., Marblehead, OH 43440, with the Rev. Joseph P. Szybka officiating. Following Mass, a luncheon will take place at Port Clinton Yacht Club, 127 Brooklyn Ave., Port Clinton, OH 43452.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in his memory to Lucien M. Clemons Park in care of Village of Marblehead, P. O. Box 306, Marblehead, OH 43440.
