Donald Eugene Mantz, 62, residing in Norwalk, passed away early Thursday morning, Oct. 27, 2022, at Admiral's Pointe Nursing & Rehabilitation Center following a long hard battle with cancer.
Donald was born Aug. 2, 1960, in Norwalk, to Russell A. and Patricia (Wallace) Mantz.
Donald graduated from Norwalk High School in 1978. He was a veteran of U.S. Army who proudly served his country from 1983-1985. Donald was employed with the Local Laborers 480 for 27 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed gambling, spending time at the pool, and spending time with his family and friends.
Donald is survived by his wife, Melissa (Foster) Mantz, whom he married Aug. 5, 2011; daughters, Shannon Griggs, Kaylee (Jeff) Grenier, Sarah Camp, and Kyrsten Mantz, all of Norwalk; sons, Russell (Breanna) Mantz of Norwalk and Mike Camp of Elyria; father, Russell A. Mantz; eight grandchildren; brother, Ronald (Mary Jo) Mantz of Milan; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to his mother, Patricia, Donald was preceded in death by his son, Brandon Mantz.
Friends may call 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky.
