Sandusky
Donald E. Rickard, 68, of Sandusky passed away Sunday, March 9,2025, at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. He was retired from Erie Metro Housing Authority. He enjoyed perch fishing on Lake Erie from his boat. He also loved to eat the fresh vegetables harvested from his garden. He had many dogs over the years that kept him company.
He will be greatly missed by his brothers, Jerry Rickard of Santa Rosa, California, and twin brother, Dean (Glenda) Rickard of Vickery; sisters, Mary (Rick) Warren of Sandusky, Linda (Mike) Kelley of Brooksville, Florida and youngest sister, Cindy Tardif of Santa Rosa, California. Also a long time companion, Mickey Shultz. Many nieces and nephews also mourn his loss.
He is proceded in death by a son, "Donnie" Rickard Jr; Patricia Rickard SND; John Thomas Rickard, William James Rickard; and his parents, Barbara and Bob Rickard.
As was his wish, he was cremated and there will be service.
Toft Funeral Home in Sandusky was in charge of the arrangements.
A Celebration of Life will be at a later date.

Enjoyed working with Don when I was working in the Public Housing Division of Erie Metro Housing. His work ethic and dedication to the families that we served in the Housing Division was admired and much appreciated.
