Donna Jean (Bailey) Erckman, 79, residing in Sandusky, passed away early Saturday morning, May 13, 2023 at Providence Care Center after a brief illness.
Donna was born Oct. 21, 1943, in Sandusky, to George W. and Mabel (McManus) Bailey.
Donna retired from Firelands Regional Medical Center after many years of service as a general care nurse. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, Sandusky. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, puzzle games, crossword puzzles, genealogy, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandson, Logan.
Donna is survived by three sons, Glenn L. Erckman III of Sandusky, William J. Erckman of Sandusky, and Scott C. Erckman of Orlando, Florida; grandson, Logan Erckman of Brunswick; brother, Richard "Rick" (Mary) Warren of Sandusky; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glen L Erckman Jr., in 2002; and son in infancy, Matthew.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Donna's funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 19, 2023, at the funeral home with Deacon Jeff Claar presiding. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Sandusky.

She was a good nurse and we laughed a lot and had fun.
