Eligah "Skeet" Goudy, 88, of Sandusky, passed away Friday, June 21, 2024, at Providence Care Nursing Facility following a brief illness.
Eligah was born May 18, 1936, in Lauderdale County, Mississippi, and had lived in Sandusky for more than 60 years. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 34 years of service. He was previously employed at Ferrel-Cheek Steel Company and Providence Hospital. He was an avid Cleveland sports fan and he also enjoyed playing cards.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Evelyn Goudy (née Jones); three children, Larry Goudy, Greg Jones, and Leneal Goudy; Goddaughter, Latoya Jackson; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and other loving relatives and friends.
Eligah was preceded in death by his parents, John and Jessie Mae Goudy; five brothers, Larry Goudy, Douglas Goudy, John Goudy Jr., Lawrence Curtis (LC) Goudy, and Felacy Goudy; and two sisters, Flora Randle and Mary Lee Cole.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2024, at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home, 1814 Milan Ave., Sandusky Ohio, 44870. Eligah's funeral will be 12 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2024, at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1920 Eddy Henry Way, Sandusky, where the Rev. Curtis L. Johnson Jr. is the pastor. Elder Roy C. Matthews will be the eulogist. Entombment will be at Meadow Green Cemetery, Huron.
