Ellinor "Midge" Covella of Bellevue, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky.

Born September 22, 1943, in Sandusky, Midge was the daughter of the late Ervin Noah and Ingrid Ellinor (Jensen) Krisher.

She attended Margaretta Schools and graduated in 1961. During her school years, she was a member of Cochran's Majorettes in Port Clinton, Ohio's famous all-girl military marching unit, which allowed her to travel to many states. She was also crowned Track Queen her senior year of high school.

She eventually retired from EHOVE Career Center in Milan.

A creative soul, she enjoyed writing poetry for school, weddings, funerals, and friends who needed kind words. She was a member of Sandusky Banshees First Draw Club and earned third place in the state for the women's competition. Midge also enjoyed collecting McCoy Pottery and decorating vintage soaps for friends and family for every holiday.

In 1962, Midge married Charles Renwand and together had two sons. Then, in 1976, she married Lewis Covella and gained two stepsons.

Midge is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Lewis R. Covella; two sons, David C. Renwand and Danial B. (Shari) Renwand; stepsons, James K. (Christine) Covella and Christopher J. Covella. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ben (Emily) Renwand, Bryon (Samantha) Renwand, Tony (Mindy) Renwand, Casey (Samantha) Renwand, Kaitlyn (Mitchell) Gildenmeister, Riley (Nevaeh) Renwand; stepgrandchildren, Colin (Ashtyn) Covella, Kaylee DaCosta and Kristen Covella, Ryan and Courtney Haley, and Mitchell Strow; great-grandchildren, Raymond, Brooklyn, Bryson, Braxton, Lillian, Preston, Parker, Paisley, Lyla, Nevaeh, Makaeh and Isaaeh; stepgreat-grandchildren, Grayson, Elliot and Malakai; her sister, Valarie M.
