Ernest M. Wilson, 82, of Vermilion, peacefully passed away Oct. 30, 2023, at his residence.
Ernest was born June 24, 1941, in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, to Warren and Helen Wilson. He leaves behind a rich legacy as a second-generation business owner, passionately carrying forward the family enterprise with W.M. Wilson Company, originally established in 1945. He loved boating, fishing, and celebrating often.
Ernest is survived by his loving children, Karen (Dan) Fogel and Jeff (Maria) Wilson; cherished grandchildren, Tiffanie and Bradley Fogel and Scott and Nicole Wilson; brother, Charlie Wilson; love of his life, Sandra Robinson, with whom he spent 17 joy-filled years; former wife, Gail (Morrison) Wilson; and loyal companion, Sophie the dog.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Hugh Wilson.
Visitation for friends and family to pay their respects will be 12-2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023, at Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main St., Huron, Ohio, 44839.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Mercy Health - New Life Hospice, 3500 Kolbe Rd., Lorain, Ohio, 44053.
Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, Huron, is assisting family.
