Evelyn Jackson, 92, Sandusky, passed away peacefully Monday, February 9, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and community that will be cherished by all who knew her.

Born November 18, 1933, in Dixie, Georgia. Evelyn was the beloved daughter of T.C. and Arneser Nancy (Hollis) Major. She was raised with strong values of faith, family, and hard work-principles that would guide her throughout her life.

In her early years, Evelyn moved to Boynton Beach, Florida, where she embraced the warmth of both the sunshine and the close-knit community. She later married the love of her life, Robert Jackson, and together they built a life rooted in dedication and care. Their journey eventually led them to Sandusky, Ohio, where Evelyn became a lifelong and loving member of the Searsville community.

Evelyn devoted more than 40 years of service to Cedar Point, where her strong work ethic and warm spirit left a lasting impression on coworkers and visitors alike. She took pride in her work and in the many friendships she formed over the decades.

Outside of work, Evelyn found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved gardening, cooking, watching sports and television, spending peaceful moments by the water, and, most importantly, gathering with family. Her greatest joy-her crowning glory-was her grandchildren. Evelyn treasured every moment spent with them, offering unconditional love and gentle wisdom.

She is survived by her children, Kenneth "Wayne" Jackson of Sandusky and Barbara Ann Jackson of Leawood, Kansas; her grandchildren, Keith Jackson, Chasity Jackson, Catrina Harvey, Shannon Jackson, Bryan Cazenave, Bryce Jackson, J Zon Jackson, J Zonna Jackson, Jamia Jackson, and Cassie Harvey; and her great-grandchildren, Jeremy, JaQuan, J'Andre, Jordan, Jatari, Lordyss, Kierra, Shania, Jayda, Keshawn, Devon, LaAsia, and Tamaja.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Jackson Sr.; her sisters, Mary, Doris, and Frances; and her children, Robert Jackson Jr. and Carolyn Yvonne Jackson.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of funeral services at noon, Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Burial will take place at Perkins Cemetery.
