Fannie Turner Obituary

Fannie Yvonne Turner

Nov 5, 1948 - Jun 16, 2024

Sandusky

Fannie Yvonne Turner, 75, of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, June 16, 2024, at Firelands Health.

She was born Nov. 5, 1948, in Franklin, Kentucky, to Sylvester and Margaret "Peggy" Alexander.

Fannie graduated from Sandusky High School in 1966 and worked numerous jobs over the years, but being a homemaker and taking care of her family was her best job.

Fannie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She cooked the best meals that were loved by many, had an artistic ability for drawing, loved to do puzzles, play board games, and spend time with her family. Some of her favorite TV shows were Judge Judy, Little House on the Prairie, and Martin.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Ervin "Blue" Turner Sr., whom she married April 12, 1967; three amazing children, Ervin (Danielle) Turner Jr., Theron Turner, and Tiffany Turner; wonderful granddaughters, Javeonna Turner and Taya Rogers; siblings, Donnie (Marchelle) Alexander, Carey (Gwen) Alexander, Barbara Caffey, Ella (Russ) Paden-Emmons, and Frank (Carrie) Alexander; loving animals, dogs Coco and King, cat Carmelo, and bearded dragon Mushu; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Fannie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Tobin and Melvin Alexander, and Harrison in infancy; sisters, Mattie Green and Patricia Burchett; and beloved childhood dog, Poncho.

Visitation for friends will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 24, 2024, until the time of Fannie's funeral at 12 p.m. at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1920 Eddy Henry Way, Sandusky. The Rev. Curtis L. Johnson Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.

Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, is handling arrangements.
