Florence E. (McEowen) Beck, 86, of Midlothian, Texas, and formerly of Collins, passed away Thursday, Sept. 22, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born Feb. 1, 1936, in Sandusky, to the late George and Edna (Luebcke) McEowen. She received a bachelor's degree and taught over 20 years at Berlin Heights Elementary School. She was a member of Collins United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald "Jerry" F. Beck; brother, Donald McEowen of Sandusky; son, Shawn Beck; daughter-in-law, Tammy Toledano Beck; grandchildren, Triston Beck of Midlothian, Texas, Jaden Beck Daniel of Bellevue, and Miles Thomas of Dallas, Texas; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, George (Georgie) McEowen; and sister, Lois Olds (McEowen) of Sandusky, and Bobby McEowen of Iowa.

Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, 2022, at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk, and 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022, at Collins United Methodist Church, 4290 Hartland Center Road, Collins. Florence's funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with Pastor Carl Fannin officiating. Burial will follow at Collins Cemetery.
