Gail Mass Kraus, 81, passed away April 28, 2025, in Huron, at her lovely home, just as she wished. Born July 17, 1944, Gail was a lifelong Ohio resident who cherished the beauty of Lake Erie and the surrounding nature.
Gail graduated from Lakewood High School and spent many years enjoying the simple pleasures of life. She was a lover of the outdoors, train travel, and cooking. Gail found joy in boating on Lake Erie and had a particular fondness for Toft's ice cream, a local favorite.
Gail's kindness, loyalty, and loving nature touched everyone she met. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and cherished memories. She is survived by her sons, Brian and Kevin; daughter-in-law, Julie Roberts Kraus; grandchildren, Cameron, Abi, Nicholas, Zachary, Benjamin, and Samuel; a brother, James Mass; three nieces; and one nephew.
Gail was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dale A. Kraus; her parents, Michael J. and Sophie Koscenski Mass; and siblings, Michael Mass, Marianne Mass, and Faythe Campbell.
There will be no services, as per her wishes.
In remembrance of Gail's enduring spirit and love of life, the family requests that donations be made to your favorite charity in lieu of flowers. This gesture will honor her memory by spreading kindness and support throughout the community she loved.

So sad that we have lost a wonderful friend and neighbor, but I know that Gail is now pain free. Gail was the best of neighbors, always fun-loving and willing to help out with different projects! hope she is now reunited with her husband in heaven.

We knew Gail through Tai Chi, bus trips and fun times at the Senior Fest when Earl was a participant in the entertainment. We had such good laughs together.
Gail had a great sense of humor and always smiling
Our condolences to her family. Gail will be missed. We always looked forward to running into her at various places.

My sincere sympathy. I knew Dale from my years working for the City of Rocky River and met Gail at many city functions. She was warm and kind and always smiling, as was Dale. It's been many years since I had any contact with them but memories of them have stayed with me. God Bless.
