George Cobleigh Obituary

George Cobleigh

Jul 23, 1937 - Oct 8, 2025

Huron

George Cobleigh, 88, of Huron, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Providence Care Center in Sandusky.

Born on July 23, 1937, in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, George proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1955 to 1958. After his military service, he began a long and dedicated career with New Departure Hyatt Bearings. He started at the Clark, New Jersey, location in 1973 before transferring to the Sandusky, Ohio, facility, where he later retired.

George is survived by his two sons, Ronald (Patricia) Cobleigh of Fremont and Jason (Amy) Cobleigh of Huron, as well as five beloved grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Gisela Cobleigh; his parents; and his siblings.

George cherished his retirement years, spending time between Huron, Ohio, and Juno Beach, Florida, with his late wife. He especially enjoyed working out and being surrounded by his family.

A private service will take place with close family to lay George to rest. Foster Funeral Home & Crematory in Huron is assisting the family.
