Gerald "Gerry" Boros, 63, of Sandusky, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024, at Parkvue Healthcare Center.
He was born Feb. 8, 1961, in Cleveland, to Gerald and Nancy Boros. Gerry graduated from Midpark High School in 1979 and attended Case Western University, receiving his accounting degree in 1985.
Jerry was the bookkeeper for First United Church of Christ, Sandusky, and United Church of Christ, Vermilion.
He was active with Erie County Special Olympics as a board member and bowling coach. Gerry was a past Worshipful Master of Science Lodge #50 F. & A.M., where he was serving as Secretary. He also liked Star Wars, Harry Potter, Star Trek, and The Lord of the Rings.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Elizabeth "Libby" (Liebschner) Boros; mother, Nancy (Tucker) Boros; five fur babies; and extended family across the United States.
Gerry was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Ann Brooks; and grandparents, Henry and Mildred Tucker.
Visitation for friends will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 22, 2024, until the time of Masonic Services and memorial service at 11:30 a.m. at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 1158 Cleveland Rd., Sandusky. The Rev. Lenore Kure will officiate. Since Gerry's favorite clothing was his sweat pants and t-shirt, all are welcome to wear them to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Civista Bank or plant a apple tree in his memory.
Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, is handling services.
