Geraldine "Geri" (Frantz) Work, 98, passed away peacefully in her sleep Thursday, Oct. 6, 2022, at Mary's Woods Continuing Care Retirement Community in Lake Oswego, Oregon.

Geraldine was born May 13, 1924, in Lisbon, Ohio, to Guy and Mary (McPherson) Frantz, who preceded her in death. She was the youngest of two daughters, one who preceded her in death. Geraldine graduated from Heidelberg College in Tiffin. Geraldine married Judge Paul E. Work in 1948 and lived in Sandusky most of her life, moving to Tucson, Arizona in 1985, and after her husband, Paul Work died in 2002, she moved to Lake Oswego, Oregon, in 2007. She spent her last years at Mary's Woods where she had many friends and enjoyed activities with her family, music, and her friends there.

Geraldine is survived by four sons, Matthew, Timothy, Benjamin, and Daniel Nead-Work; daughter, Elizabeth (Work) Webster; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and many nephews and nieces.

Geraldine had many friends throughout her life. She loved to garden, enjoyed music, and was an accomplished singer and pianist. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with all her family, relatives, and friends.

Family and friends can gather at the chapel at the entrance of Oakland Cemetery, 2917 Milan Rd., Sandusky, at 12 p.m Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022. Geraldine's funeral is 1 p.m. followed by a celebration of life from 3-6 p.m. at Sawmill Creek Resort, 400 Sawmill Creek Drive, Huron.
