Gilbert Oliver Chambers Sr., 67, of Berlin Heights, passed away suddenly Saturday, Dec. 24, 2022.

Gil was born July 27, 1955, in Cleveland, to Nancy (Vaught) Chambers and the late Willis Chambers.

He graduated from Max Hayes, graduating with multiple technical degrees. He was a veteran of U.S. Air Force. He was employed in maintenance at PPG for 34 years. Gilbert was a member of East Townsend Masonic Lodge F.&A.M. #322, where he was a 32nd Degree Mason and York Rite, among many other titles. In his spare time, he enjoyed his family the most, as well as motorcycles, cars, and teaching others about how things worked. He was known for always being there. He was always willing to lend a hand for anyone who needed it.

Gilbert is survived by his mother, Nancy Chambers of Parma; three brothers; daughters, Summer Z. (David) Michalski of Berlin Heights and Tabitha (Micah) Burig of Ohio; sons, Gilbert O. (Amy) Chambers Jr. of Collins and Theodore G. Chambers of Vermilion; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Valerie L. (Hartman) Chambers in 2016; father, Willis Chambers; brothers, Earl and Chris Chambers; and sister-in-law, Donna Chambers.

Services will be private.
