Gloria Hill Obituary

Gloria J. Hill

Mar 20, 1968 - Jan 17, 2025

Columbus

Gloria Jean Hill, 56, of Columbus, formerly of Sandusky, went to rest in her Heavenly home Friday, January 17, 2025.

Gloria was born March 20, 1968, in Sandusky, to Rosemond and Jackie (Crudup) Hill. She was a 1986 graduate of Sandusky High School and a 1991 graduate of Sandusky School of Practical Nursing.

Gloria spent over 30 years as a proud nurse. She served not only in various communities but also took care of others' precious loved ones as a private duty nurse, including taking on the care of her dad in his final years. She took on the jobs others found difficult to do--working lastly as a pediatric developmentally disabled nurse.

Outside of nursing, Gloria was passionate about cooking, ensuring that she shared her latest dishes and meals with her family and friends in person and on social media. She made sure that no one left her home hungry.

Gloria was the proudest aunt. She took special care of and loved each of her nieces and nephews, equivalent to the love and care from a mother. Gloria was ever-present in each of their lives and beamed with pride from each of their accomplishes. Her legacy lives on through them.

Gloria was loved by all, but leaves to cherish her memory her beloved sister and best friend, Lynne Crudup; brothers, Billy Ray Hill and Marvin Hill, all of Sandusky, Christopher (Mary Gonzales) Hill of Little Rock, Anthony (Juanita) Hill of South Africa; her nieces and nephews, great nieces, cousins, and a special cousin and dearest friend, Sonya Adcock.

She is preceded in death by her parents; maternal and paternal grandparent; and nephew, De'Yon Hill.

Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Monday, January 27, 2025, at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Sandusky, Ohio 44870. Friends may also call Tuesday, January 28, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky, Ohio 44870. Burial will follow at Oakland cemetery.

I went to nursing school with Gloria.....loved her dearly! We did our hospital rotations together, ate lunches together and just supported each other in any way we could. I won't be able to attend any of her services and that's really upsetting to me, but know my "Glo" would understand. My deepest condolences to her family and other friends that loved her! She's at peace with our Heavenly Father and Savior. Until we meet again....all my love.
