Gordon Fredrick Staschke, 82, of Greenwich, died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2023, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center, Norwalk.

Gordon was born April 29, 1940, in Toledo, the son of the late Raymond and Helen J. (nee Cressman) Staschke. Gordon was a 1958 graduate of New London High School.

Gordon was a heavy equipment operator and worked for Funk Construction, Bay/Con construction, and retired from Cedar Bay Construction. He was a member of F.A.R.M. as well as LaGrange Hit & Miss Engine Club. Gordon was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan.

Gordon's survivors include his loving wife of nearly 63 years, Wanda Sue (nee Blevins) whom he married Jan. 16, 1960; children, Mark (Terri) Staschke of Greenwich, Kevin (Susie) Staschke of Phoenix, Arizona, and Keith Staschke of Columbus; grandchildren, Clinton, Blair, Heath, Eric, and Adrian; and great-grandchildren Elijah, Liem, Malachi, E.J., Greyson, Elicia, and Freya.

In addition to his parents, Gordon was preceded in death by his brothers, Creighton and Scott Staschke; and niece, Erin Staschke.

Friends and family will be received 4-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16, 2023, at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main, New London. Gordon's services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Grove Street Cemetery.
