Hon. Harry A. Sargeant Jr., 90, of Bellevue, passed away Friday, March 17, 2023, at Bellevue Hospital.

He was born Feb. 20, 1933, in Cleveland, the son of Harry A. Sr. and Marjorie (Reel) Sargeant.

Harry was a graduate of Clyde High School and College of Wooster. After graduating from Wooster, Harry attended The Ohio State University for law school. He practiced law and served in many roles in the Sandusky County judicial system over the years. He served as Prosecuting Attorney as well as Municipal Court Judge in Sandusky County Common Pleas Court. He was a member of Sandusky County Bar Association and Lions Club.

Harry is survived by his wife, Betty, whom he married May 8, 1972, in Fremont.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Harry A. Sargeant III.

Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Foos Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Highway, Clyde. Private burial will be at McPherson Cemetery at a later date.
