Helen F. McClelland, 99, of Marblehead, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Riverview Senior Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor.

She was born March 26, 1924, in Barnesville, to Grover and Laura (Wilkes) Frasher. She married the love of her life, Donald D. McClelland, on Jan. 17, 1947, and is once again joined with him as he preceded her in death in 2003.

Helen worked in the insurance industry for many years as an agent and office manager in both Ohio and Michigan. Her and Don enjoyed playing golf and boating with their friends. She was an active member of First United Church of Christ in Marblehead. She truly enjoyed her involvement at the church over the years as a Sunday school teacher, member of council, and member of the Woman's club. She was truly cherished by her family as more of a mom and grandma than the aunt titled that she proudly went by. Her caring nature touched so many and she will be deeply missed.

Helen's survivors include her nephew, William (Cindy) Frasher of Marblehead; and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; infant brother, William; infant sisters, Eleanor and Betty Faye; sisters, Esther Kalp, Velma Harshman, Ruth Johnson, and Kay Harshman; and brothers, John Frasher, Ted Frasher, and Floyd Frasher.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, May 19, 2023, at Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, 216 Washington Street, Port Clinton. Helen's funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 20, 2023, at First United Church of Christ, 802 Prairie Street, Marblehead, with the Rev. Dr. Kay Cox officiating.
