Jack William Easton, 90, of Port Clinton, passed away Sunday, Oct. 1, 2023, at Stein Hospice, Sandusky.

He was born Sept. 20, 1933, in Port Clinton, to Orville and Alice (Dunkle) Easton. He married Betty Gulau on Aug. 13, 1960, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Lakeside-Marblehead, and she survives. Jack was a veteran of U.S. Air Force, where he served from 1953-1957. He taught math and driver's training for 28 years for Port Clinton City Schools and also managed Lakeside Campground for 23 years. Jack was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Lakeside-Marblehead, where he previously served on church council. He enjoyed traveling and playing Bingo.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Betty; grandchildren, Justin (Marlana) and Michelle Monak; sister, Beverly Peters; and son-in-law, Dan Monak.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Monak; and parents.

Jack's memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 6, 2023, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 541 Church Road, Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio, 43440. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Catawba Island Fire Department, or Danbury Senior Center.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory, Port Clinton.

Jack and I had known each other since the sixth grade. I had not been aware of his passing on til now, 3/25/24. I now reside in SE Georgia and I will be 91 at the end of this coming May. Jan Fadely
