James W. Hineline, 76, of Castalia, passed away Saturday, Dec. 31, 2022, at his residence.

He was born July 29, 1946, to the late George E. and Della (Bowers) Hineline Sr.

He was employed by Ford Motor Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1999.

Jim enjoyed boating, walking down by the water, and he always had to have a brand new Ford F-150 blue truck.

He is survived by three daughters, Wendy (Matt) Frank of Sandusky, Amanda Phillips of Bellevue, Ohio, and Kimberly Slone of McDowell, Kentucky; grandchildren, Brittany (Zachary) Graffice, Johnathan, Barbara, Auburn, Tyler, Josh, Nathan, Priscilla, Christopher, Tara, Audra, and Aiden; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Rose Rohm of Clyde.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Zelma Davis, Harold Geesey, Edna Long, George Hineline Jr., and Doris Wood.

Friends may call 12 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, 2023, until the time of James' funeral at 2 p.m. at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. The Rev. Tom Groot will officiate. Entombment will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
