Marblehead
James Lewis, 81, of Marblehead, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024, at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. He was born Aug. 23, 1943, in Heilwood, Pennsylvania, the son of John and Victoria (Wenturine) Lewis. He married Ann Walker on June 19, 1965. John was a self-employed truck driver who, along with his wife, owned and operated A. J. Trucking. He was a St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead member and volunteered for AARP. He was an avid stock car racer and a member of Cloverleaf Speedway Hall of Fame and Painesville Speedway Hall of Fame.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Ann; his many friends, nieces, nephews and his furry baby, Casey. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Nancy Haseley.
Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024, at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd. Lakeside-Marblehead, OH. Additional visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 Barclay St., Marblehead. His Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with the Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Danbury Food Pantry or Humane Society of Ottawa County.
